Fun Prank

If you want to pull a funny prank on one of your friends at school or work, this might be the perfect prank. It\'s not very complicated, all you need to do is: laugh.gif laugh.gif

Right click on desktop...

Select new...

Click on shortcut...

Type shutdown -s -t 60 -c \"The computer is infected with a virus. It is now shutting down to prevent any damage.\"

Click next

Rename the file to something that you prefer (Maybe Internet Explorer would work)...

Click Finish

Right click on the file.

Click on properties

Make sure your on tab named Shortcut

Click on Change icon

Click ok on the message that will pop-up

Select an icon (At the very end there\'s a Internet Explorer Icon.

double-click on the icon.

Click OK and you are done

The \"code\" you typed (shutdown -s -t 60 -c \"The computer is infected with a virus. It is now shutting down to prevent any damage.\") tells the computer to shutdown (shutdown -s) and tells how many seconds (-t xx) and shows a costume message (-t \"costume message\")

That is just what the message says. And from my computer you can't go to ctrl + alt + delete and end the program. lol The "x" at the top is shut off so you can't x out.

What you did was a shutdown code. It gives the user a message \"Your computer is infected with a virus and is shutting down\" and it gives 60 seconds. Now, given it will shutdown but it does not have a virus. You can test it out safely by just double clicking it and it will start, but if you don\'t want your computer to shut down you can just do:

Right click on desktop...

Select new...

Click on shortcut...

Type shutdown -a

Click next
